Krista Ramsey, Locking into the magic of Legos

This article is about the effects of Legos on children.  It describes the good qualities and necessary skills that come with children playing with Legos.  (http://www.cincinnati.com/story/opinion/columnists/krista-ramsey/2014/02/15/krista-locking-into-the-magic-of-legos/5521245/)

I think the best written line is, "With Legos, kids build sturdy little creations – which, in turn, build sturdy kids. ?"  I think this is the best line because it summarizes the rest of the article very well.  The diction in this piece is low and casual.  The author also uses to definitions of sturdy, one with the Lego structures and one with the children.

Ramsey's columns mostly inform the readers on her opinions.  For example in the second article Krista shows her opinion on how people should dress at certain occations.  And in the third article she shares her opinion on how Legos benefit children.  She also gave her opinion on how much time kids spend on their devices and also gives quotes from professionals to support her ideas.

Three Questions:
1.) What is the best column you have ever written?
2.) What do you do when you are stumped on what to write?
3.) How much time do you spend writing?

  1. Nice blog! I've also read Krista Ramsey's 'The Magic of Legos' and it was very interesting. I also like how you reflected after reading and wrote out three questions that you had. Great job! :)
